New Fallout Game Teased By Bethesda

Guess what loyal reader? That title you just read? It quite literally gave me chills to write. There are very few things in the universe of gaming that drive me to shudder in happiness when they are unveiled, a brand new Fallout game is most certainly one of those select few.

Early today,  Fallout series publisher Bethesda put up a count down clock on the official Fallout page of their website, which you can see for yourself here, it was announced with a tweet by the soon-to-be-announced game’s developers Bethesda Game Studios. The count down clock is set to expire early tomorrow morning, June 3rd, and features the famous “Please Stand By” screen featured in past games.

This countdown is the cap on what has been some of the most intense anticipation I have ever seen from the fans in the industry. Fallout is one of those rare series that is near-universally beloved. Featuring perhaps the most interesting setting in all videogame-dom, and rife with some of the best storytelling, characters, and soundtracks anywhere in the industry, a new entry in the Fallout series has me frothing at the mouth a little, and I know I am certainly not alone. After all the hoaxes (die in a fire Survivor 2299), rumors, and speculation it is hard to put into words how excited I am for tomorrow at 8 am.

I was expecting Bethesda to announce a new Fallout game this year based on development cycles, rumors, and logical assumption, but all of that pointed to a reveal at Bethesda’s first ever E3 conference. They made sure to be front and center at the biggest event in the gaming world, to announce their biggest game since 2011’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

It’s coming, it’s almost here and I am as excited as I have ever been for a game reveal. Unless of course they announce ‘Fallout: Online’ instead, at which point video game fans around the world will riot in disgust. Hey Bethesda and ZeniMax Media, The Elder Scrolls: Online was an awful waste of time, talent, and money. Please, in the name of all that is holy, do not give Fallout the same sad treatment. It has been almost five years since the last entry in the series, we have waited long enough.

Meanwhile here are some videos of past Fallout game to wet the whistle a bit, a be sure to check back tomorrow for my reactions to the reveal!
